Manchester United have reportedly identified Brentford striker Ivan Toney as their ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is expected to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window, should any of Europe’s top clubs actually express an interest in signing him.
Erik ten Hag will undoubtedly want a replacement for the Portuguese superstar, and it appears as though he’s already identified the man that he desires.
As per Fichajes, Brentford and England striker Ivan Toney, who scored again on Friday night, is top of ten Hag’s list of priorities for the January window.
Man United would have a tough time convincing Brentford to sell mid-season and we dread to think how much he would cost on current form.
However, Toney could well be the number nine that Man United have been waiting for and the perfect figurehead for ten Hag to build his attack around.
We’ll have to wait and see how the situation develops as the months tick down towards the World Cup and the January transfer window…
