Manchester United identify ANOTHER former player as Cristiano Ronaldo replacement

Manchester United have reportedly turned to a former player in their bid to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

Though Ronaldo’s debut campaign in Manchester had to be considered a success, at least on a personal level, he has since expressed an interest in departing.

Ronaldo is understood to be keen on returning to the Champions League, something that Man United will be unable to offer him this coming campaign.

Of course, a player of his quality needs to be replaced – and it looks as though Man United already have a good idea as to who they’ll look to bring in.

According to a report published by Todo Fichajes, Memphis Depay, a former Man United player of course, has emerged as a target for the Red Devils.

Depay is understood to be likely to leave Barcelona this summer and Man United have been mooted as a potential destination for the Dutch international.

Whether he can fill Ronaldo’s boots is another matter altogether, but were United to get the best version of Depay, they’d be getting one hell of a player.
