Manchester United hit by COVID-19 outbreak with Sunday training session CANCELLED

Manchester United training has been disrupted after a COVID-19 outbreak within the squad and staff, reports The Athletic.

The Red Devils stumbled over the line against Norwich City at the weekend. Ralf Rangnick has not yet been able to make any sort of notable impact on the squad – but it’s very early days.

What Rangnick needs is minutes on the training pitch to get the players up to speed on his philosophy and his expectations – but he might not get that ahead of their tussle with Brentford on Tuesday.

As is reported by The Athletic, group training was disrupted on Sunday after a ‘small number’ of players and staff returned positive coronavirus tests. None of the players who travelled to Norwich City have tested positive, as per the report.

It doesn’t appear to be as significant an outbreak as the one we saw at Tottenham Hotspur, but Man United fans will be aware and wary over just how quickly these things can escalate.

We hope that Man United have been able to get on top of this outbreak and there is no significant disruption ahead of their tussle with Brentford in just two days’ time.
