Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly set to do battle over a Bayern Munich star this summer.

It has been several years since the two Manchester clubs have been seriously competing with each other on the pitch.

Man City are lightyears ahead of their rivals at the time of writing. It’s going to take a long time to bridge that gap.

While Erik ten Hag’s coaching ability ought to play its part, the real work will happen in the transfer market for United.

According to The Sun, they have not only been presented with the chance to sign a target of their own, but also steal one of City’s.

The real question is, will he ultimately be heading to Old Trafford or the Etihad in the coming weeks/months?

The great thing about the transfer window is that we have absolutely no idea – let’s see how this one pans out.
