Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic has announced that he will be leaving the club merely days after rumours circulated of Erik Ten Hag’s impending appointment.
Matic stunned the country after he departed Chelsea to sign for the Red Devils back in the summer of 2017. Despite a bright start, it’s safe to say that Marina Granovskaia had the better end of the bargain, as she often does.
The Serbian’s influence at Old Trafford has waned and he has scarcely been involved under Ralf Rangnick. As is reported by The Sun, he has now formally announced that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

Only he will know if this is directly tied to the news which has broken over the past few days, which indicates that Ajax manager Erik Ten Hag is set to sign along the dotted line and become the club’s new manager.
There has been significant suggestion that Ten Hag will look to overhaul the squad and rid Man United of a lot of their ageing high-earners. Could he have already told Matic that his services will not be required?
