Manchester United star firmly denies involvement in partner abuse story

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has been forced to deny that he was arrested on suspicion of attacking his girlfriend.

Henderson, who was seen as the natural successor to David De Gea after a highly successful season on loan with Sheffield United, has been out of the picture under Ralf Rangnick.

The Englishman was expected to be granted an exit, at least on loan, in the January transfer window, but he continues to sit on the Man United substitutes bench, wasting vital years of his development.

Even more frustratingly for Henderson, he was dragged into the conversation by speculating supporters on social media after The Sun reported that an unnamed Premier League player had been arrested for an alleged assault on their partner.

Henderson has been forced to take to Instagram to firmly deny the suggestion that he is at all involved. We dearly hope that will be the end of it, because allegations of that nature could be seriously damaging for his brand and career.
