Major boost for England after classy attacker declares himself fit and available

Ahead of their crucial Euros semi-final against Denmark on Wednesday, England manager Gareth Southgate has been handed a major selection boost.

According to the manager, who spoke to reporters (as quoted by The Sun), Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka has declared himself fit and available to face Denmark.

“He [Saka] should be fine,” Southgate said. “He did declare himself available for the (Ukraine) game but we had not really had the chance to see him on the pitch and working at the level we felt would vindicate that decision.

“He will go back into full training with the group on Tuesday and, yes, he should be fine.”

England’s semi-final is scheduled to kick off at 8pm (UK time) on Wednesday and will be played in front of 60,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
