‘I would just love it if he was my child’ – Luke Shaw reveals the ‘so cool’ England teammate that he adores

Luke Shaw has sung the praises of England teammate and Arsenal starlet Bukayo Saka, reports the Daily Mail.

Saka is a new face in the England setup, having only enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Gunners last season.

However, having started England’s last two fixtures, including the knockout clash with Germany, it’s safe to say that he’s earned the trust of manager Gareth Southgate.

He has an admirer in the shape of England teammate Luke Shaw, too.

Speaking to on England’s YouTube channel, as quoted by the Daily Mail, Shaw detailed the positive impact Saka has had on the England camp – revealing he wishes that he was his CHILD!

“Honestly, I love him. I would just love it if he was my child. I love him like that.”

“I feel that you could ask anyone in the squad that and they would say the same thing, about what a good guy he is.”

“I didn’t know him before I came to the camp and I didn’t know what he would be like but I’ve got on so well with him.”

“I would love him to be my brother. He’s so cool, he’s so funny. He makes everyone laugh – and he doesn’t meant it. He’s not a loud person but the way he is and the way he speaks is so funny.”

“Someone like that in the camp is good to have and he gets everyone laughing. We all love him and appreciate the way he is.”

Unfortunately for Shaw, Saka already has a family of his own, but regardless, it’s good to see even the newer England stars are as close-knit as the rest of them.

If football comes home this summer, they will have done it as a collective, rather than a team of individuals.
