‘Clearly I am in his head a lot’ – Luke Shaw fires back at Jose Mourinho after bizarre corner criticism

Manchester United star Luke Shaw has taken aim at Jose Mourinho after his former boss criticised his corner-taking ability.

It’s not often you have a player and a former manager of his involved in a public war of words, but with Mourinho having spoken so frankly about Shaw’s ability on set-pieces, the England left-back was well within his rights to reply.

As reported by The Sun, Mourinho had described Shaw’s corner-taking as “dramatically bad,” something which the Man United man was never going to take kindly to hearing.

While you’d ordinarily expect a player to bite his tongue and ignore it, Shaw has decided to face his enemy and fire back – publicly, just as Mourinho criticised him in the first place.

Shaw is quoted by The Sun saying:

“There is no hiding that we didn’t get on. It is time to move on. I am trying to move on but, obviously, he can’t.

“Hopefully he can find his peace with that and finally move and stop worrying about me. Clearly I am in his head a lot and he clearly thinks about me a lot.

“I don’t really understand it, to be honest. I don’t know why he is still going on and wanting to point at me. I don’t feel like the set pieces were as bad as he was saying.
