BRILLIANT news for Chelsea as key figure returns to training after injury

Chelsea have welcomed the return of Romelu Lukaku back on the Cobham training pitches, with the Belgian fit again after recovering from an ankle injury.

Lukaku has missed the games in the build-up to the November international break and was not called upon by Roberto Martinez to feature for Belgium in World Cup qualifying.

The Chelsea frontman twisted his ankle in the Champions League against Malmo and was forced to watch from the sidelines in the fixtures which followed.

Thankfully for Chelsea, who face Leicester City in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off, Lukaku is now fit again and able to train at Cobham with his teammates.

Whether Thomas Tuchel will risk Lukaku from the beginning against Leicester remains to be seen, but he is incredibly fit and wasn’t out for a significant period.

Chelsea remain on the top of the table, even having lost Lukaku, but Tuchel will be well aware of their dire need for a focal point in the attack.
