Romelu Lukaku impressed after Man United loanee Jesse Lingard bags solo stunner

Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku was evidently very impressed with what he saw from former teammate Jesse Lingard yesterday evening.

Lukaku and Lingard’s time together at Manchester United feels like a lifetime ago, with the pair now playing their football at Inter Milan and West Ham respectively.

Both could find common ground in the success that they’ve experienced on a personal level since departing Old Trafford.

Lukaku has developed into one of the best strikers in the world at Inter, while Lingard has reached a whole new level since joining West Ham on loan.

While Lukaku has left the Premier League in his rear view mirror, that’s not to say he’s not keeping up to date with what’s happening in English football.

He was clearly watching last night’s Monday Night Football clash between Wolves and West Ham, because after Lingard ran from behind the halfway-line and scored, he tweeted the below.

Lingard, once he was off the field of play and able to access his phone, replied to Lukaku, referring to him as his “bro”.

If you see Lukaku charging forward with the ball over long distances during Inter’s battle with Sassuolo tomorrow evening, you know why.
