Luka Modric has come out to address the rumours linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia once his time at Real Madrid ends.

Modric has been touted for a move to Al Nassr, a transfer that would see him link up with his ex-Real Madrid teammate of six years in Cristiano Ronaldo, who has nine goals in ten matches so far for the Saudi outfit.

Modric however, has shut down those rumours, saying that his desire is to stay in Spain.

My wish is known, I want to stay at Real Madrid. I believe and hope it will happen.

The rest are only assumptions and rumours. I repeat for the 100th time, I hope and believe I will stay at Real Madrid.”

Modric has been at Real since 2012, making 473 appearances, winning five Champions Leagues, three La Ligas and also a Ballon D’or in 2018, where he broke the ten-year spell of either Lionel Messi or Ronaldo winning the award.
