Louis van Gaal believes he can EXPLOIT Messi’s biggest flaw

Netherlands manager, Louis van Gaal has revealed that he knows Lionel Messi’s greatest weakness ahead of their clash on Friday.

The Netherlands has put on a very impressive showing in the World Cup so far. Winning every game bar one, a 1-1 draw with Ecuador in the group stages, and will hope to keep their undefeated streak alive when they face Argentina in the quarter-finals.

This will be the Dutch side’s most strenuous test yet, Argentina is still lauded as one of the tournament favourites even though they have looked shaky at times.

But if van Gaal hopes to accomplish this, he will have to nullify one of the greatest players of all time.

Messi has scored 3 goals in 4 appearances and has at times, singlehandedly dragged his team over the finish line. But van Gal thinks that he can exploit the Argentine’s biggest weakness.

“Messi is the most dangerous creative player, he is able to create a lot and to score goals himself. But when they lose the ball he doesn’t participate much, this gives us chances.” Van Gaal said.

When questioned on how he planned to put this in place during the game, van Gaal refused to give away his secret.

“You will see me on Friday. I won’t tell you.”

Many men have tried to stop Messi before and few have succeeded but if anyone can find a way, it’s van Gaal.
