Liverpool think they may have their hands on the next “Frank Lampard”

Liverpool football club have cause to be happy at the moment after an opposition team scout compared new signing Melkamu Frauendorf to Premier League legend Frank Lampard.

In an interview with the Liverpool Echo, a scout for a rival Premier League club said: “He reminded me of Frank Lampard,”

“You take your eye off him for one moment, and then he’ll appear in the box or in a dangerous area.

Frauendorf has already made 14 appearances since arriving from Hoffenheim in the summer and has helped the Reds to second position in the table behind Manchester City.

He opened the scoring after just 28 seconds in their Under-18s Merseyside Derby win over Everton at the weekend.

Liverpool will be hoping that the comparison is accurate after a new poll emerged that proved Frank Lampard was the top scoring midfielder across all major leagues since the year 2000.

Super Frank topped the poll with an outrageous tally of 261 goals scored in a glittering 843 game career for Chelsea.
