🚨Liverpool star set to miss crucial clash against Arsenal this weekend

Jurgen Klopp may be without one of his best midfielders as they prepare to welcome the Gunners to Anfield on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side overtook Liverpool at the weekend with the Merseyside club failing to beat Manchester United after Arsenal’s impressive win against Brighton.

Many fans expected Klopp’s men to replicate their 7-0 trouncing from last season, but they were unable to break the lines of a stubborn United defence with the game finishing 0-0.

With the coveted ‘top at Christmas’ accolade up for grabs this weekend, Liverpool will be hoping to not falter against the Gunners.

But they may have to once again be without Alexis Mac Allister who has missed his side’s last three games after picking up an injury against Sheffield United.

According to journalist Lorenzo Lepore via Football.London, the Argentine midfielder is set to miss this weekend’s clash as well as potentially missing the game against Burnley on Boxing Day.

This means that Klopp will likely have to start a midfield of Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch.

On the other hand, we may see the return of Thomas Partey to the Gunners squad this weekend after he returned to full-team training last week.
