(Video) Liverpool’s Takumi Minamino misses OPEN GOAL in 90th minute of Arsenal clash

Liverpool attacker Takumi Minamino missed an open goal in the 90th minute of his side’s tussle with Arsenal at Anfield.

Liverpool, who are without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane as they compete in the African Cup of Nations, faced off against Arsenal tonight in the first-leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

The game was a rather tight and eventless one, with Granit Xhaka’s first-half red card essentially forcing Arsenal to sit deep and defend their penalty area.

The Gunners did so commendably, at least until Takumi Minamino, the hero in the last round, was presented with a golden opportunity to win it for the home side.

Minamino, with the goal at his mercy, sliced his effort wildly clear of the crossbar, a HUGE let-off for Arsenal to now merely need to win at home to progress to Wembley.

How on EARTH has he missed that?
