Liverpool are reportedly working on hijacking Manchester United’s move for Ajax winger Antony.

Man United have been heavily linked with a move to sign the Brazil international since Erik ten Hag was appointed as the club’s new manager.

ten Hag worked with Antony at Ajax and was understood to be keen on bringing him with him to Old Trafford this summer.

However, the Dutchman, as per reports, is facing competition from one of his main Premier League rivals.

According to Yahoo Esportes, Liverpool have joined the running for Antony.

As per the report, Liverpool are not interested in bringing Antony into the squad this summer but would like him to wait until 2023.

Even then, it’s hard to imagine where Antony would fit. Liverpool are in no dire need of offensive reinforcements.

We all know that Jurgen Klopp loves to hoard attacking talent, however.

You imagine the prospect of snatching one of Man United’s primary targets would also add extra incentive…
