Liverpool loanee Neco Williams almost scored a goal of the season contender while playing for Fulham yesterday.
Williams has long shown great promise, the kind that would ordinarily see you have a chance of making it at the top level, even with a club of Liverpool’s strength and calibre.
However, he sadly has Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of him in the pecking order, which is almost certain to prevent Williams from remaining at Anfield long-term and making a success out of himself.
The only hope that Williams has is to perform at an extraordinary level and put himself on par with Trent. It’s no easy task, but scoring from the halfway line would certainly help his cause.
Unfortunately for Williams, his long-rang effort cannoned back off the crossbar on Saturday. This is just the kind of thing that could have captured Jurgen Klopp’s attention…
