Liverpool supporters and fans were out on the streets on Monday enjoying their victory parade of winning the Premier League for the second time in their history.

There was an incident where a car drove through people in the middle of the city centre. Have a look at the video below and some of the comments underneath

Why did they attack the guy’s car?? That seems to have caused the incident.

He’s panicked and accelerated when his back window was put in.

I’m assuming you also know what happened BEFORE this video James? Ah no i thought not you’re just farming interactions and inciting hate and blame

So he panicked for a further 1/4 mile passing 6 turn offs and carried on towards a road closed in both directions from 4am to 10pm, and is the most well known road in the city?

A tale as old as time. Driver wants to get through crowd, driver beeps horn and gestures angrily, ONE person in the crowd takes exception to the driver’s rudeness and hits the car, driver tries to retaliate but end up involving more innocent bystanders which creates more hostility from the crowd, creating more hostility from the driver, creating more hostility from the crowd etc etc etc

  1. The driver in some pictures of the Liverpool incident was wearing a red top! Not the top seen in picture of arrested man!…. Also one picture shows 3 people sitting in front seats of car…..something not right here!….Why inform public so quickly of Ethnicity of man and age?… never do that!…

      1. Nothing racist about objecting to millions being spent on these people while the rest of the country suffers.

        1. There is something wrong when people are being assaulted for just being foreign.This was the case after the unrest caused by the Southport murders.

    6. I’m presuming it was to get things right from the start to stop people thinking it’s terrorism , imagine if it was a Asian taxi driver it would of been absolute carnage that person would of been annihilated

    7. For obvious reasons.The police introduced a new system to prevent a reoccurrence of the riots started after the three young girls were murdered in Southport.This was caused by misinformation spread on social media saying that the perpetrator was an asylum seeker.

      1. Wrong it was due to another man carrying a knife at the wake ,who was pictured and tanned
        Get your facts right and nothing has been said by the police or what charge .

        Did you not see the footage of big gangs of muslim men walking through city centre streets with machetes, past the police and not being stopped????
        Or would that have been racist???

    8. Because of the Southport attack last year. The police arw trying to control rhe ammont of wrong information that gets generated on social media.

      They don’t want another attack on a mosque

They informed the public of his ethnicity because sadly given what happened after Southport with the rapid spread of misinformation, the police didn’t want another far-right riot on their hands so quickly let everyone know he was white. Its a sad sign of the times when the police has to break from the usual practice.

    10. Do you reckon the reason why they had to say that is because of what happened with misinformation of the Southport stabbings? Not everything has to be a conspiracy! Liverpool had half a million people, Do you think people would not try to blame certain groups of people and try to divide and take justice in to their own hands?.. that’s why they made it very clear to prevent innocent people from being targeted and avoid the disaster that happened with the riots

      1. No it had not a barrier was lifted for emergency services to attend to a man with a heart attack and the car also went through behind the ambulance

        The road was closed, barrier moved to allow ambulance in.
        He tailgate the ambulance to force entry.

    2. They released details ov the driver quickly because previous delays had led to violent reactions against Muslims as speculation on social media gained rapid momentum.

    3. The car should not of been there,it looks like yet again it was caused because of the fans attacking his car,looks like the man panicked with fear

  3. The road had been opened to an ambulance going to a suspect heart attack and he drove in….. They had to release his ethnicity because last time there was so much hearsay that just generated so much hate…

    1. Yeah coz last time they tried to say it was a Welsh choir boy…..they lied! There are loads of pictures circulating of the driver and he was not white, British and 53 years old. He also chose to follow an ambulance through a barrier into any area full of pedestrians.

Nobody made him drive into the crowd but himself also he was under the influence of drugs the car was being tried to prevent it going down the street where the pedestrians were HE and ONLY HE is responsible and anybody that says otherwise need their heads examining think of the four people trapped underneath the car including one child and see what your opinion is then of this “poor innocent man” anybody innocent would not have done or reacted like he did he was being stopped and yet chose to carry on knocking people down like skittles no way was that down to panicking

    1. No one said he was innocent,he should not of been there also the liverpool fans started it by smashing his windows but it wont be there fault as there always the victims

      1. He reversed into the very fan that smashed his window he is at fault and his actions are disgraceful

Your missing the point, I think alls that’s getting said drunken men was hitting and smashing this fellas car up and throwing bottles , so just maybe he did panic he’s tried to reverse so then some 1s smashed his back window and pulling at his doors he’s bottles it and tried to get away yes he’s run over innocent people including kids but doesn’t change the fact he was attacked 1st

  7. Strange how he’s not been named yet.. But let the Police do what they have to do. Thankfully nobody has been killed. Our thoughts should be with the injured.
