Liverpool legend Stan Collymore has urged his former side to complete the signing of Leeds United winger Raphinha.
Raphinha is expected to leave Leeds United this summer, with Arsenal currently the side most closely linked with securing his services. Chelsea, Tottenham and Barcelona have also been credited with interest.
Liverpool were tentatively linked with the Brazilian last summer, but the arrival of Luis Diaz has all but ended any possibility that the 25-year-old could move to Anfield any time soon.
Stan Collymore, though, believes that his former employers ought to blow their rivals out the water by joining the race for Raphinha and replacing Mohamed Salah ahead of time.
Stan Collymore on Raphinha: “My message to Liverpool is, ‘Go on, get in there and get him, and future proof for the prospect of Salah leaving in a year.”

Salah is out of contract next summer and there is currently no guarantees that he will extend his contract. Liverpool will eventually need to find a replacement for their Egyptian King.
Top right-wingers are a precious commodity at current, and considering Raphinha’s on-the-market status is no secret, you wonder if this is a possibility that Liverpool would be unwise to pass up.
The real question is as to whether Jurgen Klopp has the necessary transfer funds to make a move to sign Raphinha. If he is to leave, perhaps it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to cash in on Salah now…
