Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is doing incredibly well after retiring from football.
Fowler did try his luck in management, but it didn’t work out well for him.
He is often seen offering punditry for Premier League TV productions.
According to a report from the Daily Express, Fowler has amassed a substantial net worth by building an impressive property empire over the past few decades.
Fowler, who is known as “God” at Anfield, scored 183 goals during his time at the club.
He has also played for Leeds United, Manchester City, and Blackburn before retiring in 2012.
The report claims that Fowler began investing when he was a teenager and has amassed a diverse portfolio of properties.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, he is thought to be worth in excess of £31 million.
He made the Sunday Times Rich List on two occasions when he was still playing. At one point, he was even dubbed the ‘richest sportsman living in Britain’ by The Observer.
Most of Fowler’s properties are in the Liverpool area, but it is not completely clear how many he owns.
He said: “I’ve got more than 10. I’m a private person. I don’t like to disclose everything.
Fowler was raised in a working-class environment in Toxteth and has never been interested in fleecing his tenants.
He added: “Some people can’t afford to buy, so as a landlord you are providing a benefit for other people.
“You are providing a service. Some landlords have been greedy, but you certainly won’t get that from me after the upbringing I had in Liverpool.”
