Liverpool are reportedly working on beating Borussia Dortmund to the signing of Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg.
Salzburg is, of course, the team where Erling Haaland made a name for himself before taking the next step in his career and signing along the dotted line with Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund.
With Haaland leaving Dortmund this summer now looking like a foregone conclusion, the club could be set to look to Salzburg once again as they desperately attempt to prepare some sort of succession plan.

Karim Adeyemi, who has twenty goals this season at the age of just 20-years-old, would be the obvious pick if Dortmund were looking to get another Salzburg player through the door in the summer window.
However, Premier League title challengers Liverpool are not going to lay down their arms and allow Adeyemi to move to Dortmund without putting up a fight. They too are very keen on the German.
Sky Sports in Austria report that Liverpool have already opened talks over the possibility of getting a deal done. It remains to be seen if they will be successful in completing that, or will lose out to Dortmund.
