Liverpool finally have some good news on the injury front

It’s no secret that Liverpool have been suffering hugely with injuries this season, especially in the defensive department but thankfully there is some good news for Jurgen Klopp and his medical staff.

Diogo Jota has returned from injury and is back in full training after three months on the sideline following an injury he sustained in the Champions League back in December report Sky Sports.

The Portuguese forward made an immediate impact at his new club scoring eight goals in his last 11 matches since joining from Wolves in September 2020.

Jota isn’t the only one making progress as images of powerhouse defender Virgil van Dijk doing ball work surfaced online this week.

Van Dijk published photos of himself training back at Liverpool’s new state of the art facility, the AXA training centre, and the Dutch defender looked in great shape.

Van Dijk has been out of action since October after he sustained a serious injury in the Merseyside derby following a poor challenge by Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

According to Liverpool’s official website, manager Jürgen Klopp has described sorely missed central-defender Virgil van Dijk’s ongoing injury rehabilitation as ‘very promising’.

The German didn’t provide a timeframe for the Dutch defenders return but the sooner he finds himself back in the heart of the Liverpool defence the better.
