Arne Slot’s Liverpool team were held by Nottingham Forest last night.
The Anfield side have been the best team in the league this season and have forged a solid lead at the top of the table.
Yesterday they faced fellow high flyers Nottingham Forest who have been the league’s surprise package so far.
An early Chris Woods goal gave the home side the lead before Liverpool eventually equalised after substitute Diogo Jota scored from a corner with 15 minutes left.
Jota was initially left on the bench with Slot preferring Luis Diaz for the striker role, something which Liverpool fans think was a mistake.

One fan moaned on x: ‘Jota should have started
This Diaz at #9 gimmick needs to end before Jota goes on his usually injury holiday.’
Another agreed: ‘Can we bin that Diaz centre forward thing off and forget about it now please? Jota or Nunez thanks.’
A third said: ‘That performance right there is why Jota starts over Diaz at CF every day of the week.’
Another commented: ‘Before kickoff I thought this game needed Jota. Diaz has been serviceable in the middle but Jota is clinical in that position. We need that when great opportunities are at a premium.’
The draw means Liverpool maintain their six point advantage at the top of the table over Nottingham Forest with a game in hand.
