Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveals long-awaited Luis Diaz return date

Jurgen Klopp has given an answer as to when winger Luis Diaz will make his long-awaited return from injury.

Diaz has been out since October with a knee issue he picked up against Arsenal, but Klopp has announced that his return is imminent as the Reds enter the season’s run-in.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday (via Talksport), Klopp anticipated a Monday 17th return for the Colombian.

Again, it looks good, everything is fine, but it was a long, long injury and so we have to be careful.

The plan with Luis is that he will be available 100% for Leeds. We will probably not involve him for Sunday [vs Arsenal].”

Diaz’s return next Monday will certainly give Liverpool a much-needed boost going into the final few games of the season as the Reds stay in the hunt for a European place, a lack of which could seriously affect their future.
