Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Ousmane Dembele’s representatives ahead of a potential summer move to Anfield.
Dembele looks set to leave Barcelona this summer after failing to agree terms on an extension to his contract. The France international has been linked with virtually every top club on the planet over the past six months.
Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea were understood to be the two frontrunners, but as per Spanish publication SPORT, Liverpool have made contact with Dembele’s representatives over the possibility of moving to Anfield.
There appears to be a legitimate possibility that Sadio Mane leaves Liverpool amid strong links to Bayern Munich. Dembele would be a worthy replacement, especially considering he is available on a free transfer.
It remains to be seen if Jurgen Klopp can tempt Dembele away from the cash he’d get at PSG or a reunion with former manager Thomas Tuchel, but if he can, it could prove to be another masterstroke in the market.
