If Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on the Lionel Messi situation is anything to go by, a move to Paris Saint-Germain now appears to be only a matter of time.
The dust has hardly settled on Messi’s departure from Barcelona, which was officially announced on Thursday night amid suggestion that a contract extension with the Catalan giants was only a matter of time.

The situation has moved fast, with the season now underway in some countries (notably France) and Messi without a club to play for. By the end of this weekend, the Argentine may well be back in employment.
Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to provide the latest on the Messi situation, with it now appearing to be a matter of formalising the proposals and signing along the dotted line.

PSG are one of very few clubs on the planet who have the financial means to employ Messi. The prospect of linking him up with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe was seemingly too good to turn down for the French giants.
