The famous Jon Kenny has passed away, so sad to hear this, a man that brought great joy and laughter to the whole of Ireland. One of the D’unbelievables, himself and Pat Shortt were a classic duo for years in the 90’s.

Jon Kenny was a proud Limerick man and a keen supporter of Munster Rugby and indeed his native Limerick in the hurling. Our thoughts and pryers go out to those closet to him. Ireland have lost a gem today.
Extremely sad news tonight. I was lucky enough to chat with Jon Kenny, he was utterly sweet and effortlessly funny. May he rest in peace 🕊️https://t.co/SKs2rOA7A2

Devastated to hear of the untimely passing of Jon Kenny, a Limerick legend. We were privileged to have him grand marshal our St Patrick’s Day Parade in 2023. He brought much joy to many through d’Unbelievables and latterly as Gerry in the Banshees of Inisherin. Taken too soon.
Very sad news about Jon Kenny, a staple of the stage in Limerick for as long as I can remember. From D’Unbelievables success with @Pat_Shortt then TV/film roles from Father Ted to the Banshees of Inisherin, and local work treading the boards. He will be missed. Rest in peace Jon.
