The Limerick hurling squad have launched a limited time jersey in order to raise funds for a team holiday, this has been met with mixed reaction online as you expect, especially when Limerick GAA is sponsored by one of the richest men in the county in JP McManus.
It’s tough times at the moment with the price of living gone though the roof in Ireland and people find it extremely cheeky from the Limerick hurlers to be asking for €150 to send the lads on a team holiday. See some of the tweets below;

So people actually sat in a room and decided this would be a good idea 💡.. how many 1000's attended matches and paid top dollar for tickets last season and now they go back to the same well to fund a holiday 🤔

Email from Club limerick – @LimerickCLG Highly embarrassing, people are struggling to live and you want €150 for a jersey to send hurlers on holiday? Give the Money to a charity or people who need it. A holiday Jesus… pic.twitter.com/39aSu0Fk3R

Now you can either buy the jersey or not, but everyone is entitled to an opinion and people are certainly giving it online to the Limerick GAA.
