The man of the match on Sunday Kyle Hayes put in an exhibition of hurling to see Limerick out of Munster and into the All-Ireland series. A lot of people are not happy with how the GAA have handled Kyle Hayes stuff off the pitch ..
Kyle Hayes has avoided jail after he was deemed suitable for 180 hours of voluntary community service.
As a GAA player in Ireland you can be convicted of violent assault, and then be named man of the match the day before you’re due in court for confirmation of your community service.

I’m a proud supporter of limerick hurling teams for many years, I’m proud supporter of this present team i think Kyle should keep his head up to shut up all does who this like him and keep hurling and hopefully many more man of the match games, did ye know the years that limerick won the all Irelands Kyle would take the McCarthy Cup to the Hospital on Christmas morning, well done Kyle keep up the great hurling
Would you still be saying what a great fellow Kyle Hayes is if he treated one of your family the same way he abused that young man and left him so badly Injured.??it is not whether some people like Klye Hayes or hate him, He is a great hurler and we are all very proud of the good hurling Limerick are playing but Kyle Hayes’ behaviour was inhuman as well as giving extremely bad example to the young people following Gaa. The Gaa in my mind were totally wrong making him man of the match, it shows where their priorities lie. He was given a suspended sentence if he was not before the courts again within two years, and that did not happen, he could have killed people or been killed himself on the road that day, that was reckless driving. Community work was a big let off, has he been checked.?
I will say one thing in his favour, he visited a very sick man after the win and made that man very happy.
Maybe some day he might see the error of his ways, hopefully.
