Limerick played their first hurling match of 2023 yesterday in Páirc Uí Rinn as they lost to the rebels on Cork’s home turf, one player that was missing from the panel The Irish Independent are reporting, was Aaron Gillane.
Gillane, a three-time All-Star, is understood to have been banished from the squad before Christmas for disciplinary reasons and the 27-year-old took no part in their team holiday as they recently spent 10 days between Florida and the Bahamas.
John Kiely refused to be drawn into this with reporters after the game against Cork yesterday at the Páirc Uí Rinn stadium… This isn’t the first time a Limerick player has been involved in an incident.
Independent turning into the worst tabloid out there

We hope this is nothing as Aaron Gillane is one of the finest hurlers in the country and this is Limerick is on the crest of a wave and should get every last bit of success out of this talented squad.
