The New Zealander has taken to his twitter to apologise to the match official for confronting him during the Connacht vs Leicester Tigers game at the Sportsground in Galway. Connacht were cruelly denied a famous victory against the leaders of the English Premiership after the Tigers scored a late try to snatch the win. The Irish centre wasn’t one bit happy with the decision made by the referee to award the try though and confronted the official at full-time.
Leicester Tigers 🤝 Unmissable Drama
How many times this season have we seen them win a match in the final moments? 🐯#HeinekenChampionsCup pic.twitter.com/fcqkLkbi9T

Like to apologise about my action towards the referee and officials, kids who were watching. Absolutely not needed in this game. Emotions were high and that is certainly not an excuse for my actions. Definitely will take the loss on the chin and will be looking at myself.

Fans booing the kick? Poor form.
Bundee Aki acting like a child shouting at the referee? Not on.
Be surprised if he doesn’t get disciplined for that.

Credit to the 31 year for apologising but will there be more come from this, could we see a ban for the former Chiefs centre?
