On this weeks BenchCast we sit down and talk to former Welsh and Lions full-back Lee Byrne. What a career the Bridgend club man had with club and country. The 41 year old won 46 caps for Wales and in his time was one of the best full-backs to play the game. He was solid under the high ball, had a lethal left boot and dangerous in attack.
Byrne won a Six Nations, a Celtic League and the Pro 12. The Welsh man also played with Clermont in the Top 14, injury ruined his chances of playing in all three tests for the Lions in the tour to South Africa in 2009. The former Ospreys full-back was in his prime in 2008/2009 and will be remember fondly by many Welsh supporters.
Lee also talks about his struggle with gambling and looks at this current Welsh squad and the stage of Welsh rugby after what was a mixed Autumn Series.
