Bad news for Premier League clubs? Barca chief spotted sending Erling Haaland message to fans

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reportedly sent a message to the fans over the possibility of signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

Barca have been one of the clubs closely linked with a move for Haaland, who is understood to have an affordable release clause kick in during the summer transfer window.

Not only are Barca a prestigious club and one that could (eventually) match Haaland’s lofty ambitions in the game, but president Laporta also has a close bond with his agent Mino Raiola.

Laporta was spotted by fans getting into a car, with the cheeky supporters asking their president if the club have sufficient funds to sign Haaland. His answer? See below…

While that may well be the case, you still have to consider Barca some way back in the race. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are among the favourites to get the deal done.

Considering the Catalan giants would struggle to match wage demands proposed by any of those three clubs and are at risk of missing out on Champions League qualification, Laporta’s optimism means very little in reality.
