Former Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette could be ruled out of Lyon’s upcoming Feyenoord friendly for THE most bizarre reason.

Lacazette departed Arsenal when his contract expired at the end of last season. The Gunners moved swiftly to bring in Gabriel Jesus as his replacement.

Lacazette will be hoping to rediscover the form that had him ranked among the best strikers in Europe during his initial stint as a Lyon player.

However, his pre-season preparations with the Ligue 1 giants have been disrupted – and for a reason that nobody could possibly have foreseen.

As is reported by the Daily Mail, Lacazette is understood to have been stung as many as 10 times by wasps while out in the Dutch forests.

Strike partner Moussa Dembele suffered the same fate, but is believed to be in a better condition than Lacazette following the viscous wasp attack.

Let’s be honest, that must hurt A LOT. We’d never have seen that cited as a reason for a player missing out on playing a game, however…
