That’s Ronan O’Gara’s first Champions Cup as a manager, he won two European Cups with his native province Munster of course and what an achievement that was from the Cork man as Leinster were raging hot favourites.

It’s a first European Cup for La Rochelle also, when you consider four years ago they were in the second division in France. Their big pack stood up today and the scrum did the damage and their defence was awesome with Leinster failing to even score a try.
It’s a long few weeks for Leinster now, they will hope to add another domestic trophy to their name, but it’s second best to what they really wanted, which was the European Cup.
