Wild scenes in La Rochelle as the Champions of Europe returned home after defeating Leinster in the final. It was a cracking game of rugby between the French club and the giants of Irish and European rugby Leinster. What an achievement it is for Ronan O’Gara winning his first European Cup as a coach and not forgetting his assistant Donnacha Ryan.
A great day for the former Munster players and a great day for the Top 14 club and great to have a new name on the trophy. Can the French club build on this now and go two in a row next season?
