Because given his profession I am sure he has seen young people make mistakes and learn from them. The statement clearly outlines his ouw disappointment in the events that night. Life is not a straight road there’s twists and turns and I’d let the court decide on the punishment.
Very true. Disappointed to see Kiely’s statement – but then if I see some of the antics of Limerick’s play on the field it may explain his lack of judgement….just a thought
He teaches that if you are part of a County team, you can get away with more than others. However, he is a role model, a person that young people look up to, so should be more responsible. He teaches pupils that anyone can make a mistake, he teaches pupils that they must learn from their mistakes, he teaches forgiveness, he teaches that we all let ourselves down, he teaches pupils that none of us are perfect. He teaches pupils that everyone deserves a 2nd chance.

There should be one law for all regardless ,Kyle Hayes was found guilty and should pay for his crime with a custodial sentence to show that this type of thuggery has no part in a civilised society regardless of social standing
