KSI has made some BOLD claims about YouTube counterpart Logan Paul, Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson.
KSI began as just a YouTuber, but has since branched out into rapping, boxing and acting.
He made his professional boxing debut against YouTube rival Logan Paul, winning the bout by split decision.
The British social media star clearly thinks quite a lot of himself as a fighter, too, having made some bold claims while appearing on Paul’s podcast ‘Impaulsive’.
These quotes are helpfully transcribed by Sky Sports, and could get two legends of the boxing game fired up.
KSI: “I’d [beat] up Mayweather.”
Logan Paul: “It’s funny you said you could beat him. I wanted to ask you about this – you probably think you could beat most people?”
KSI: “I feel like that’s the mentality you have to have.”
(. . .)
KSI: “I think you could beat (Mike) Tyson. You’ve got to remember, this isn’t Tyson who’s 18, this is Tyson who’s [55]. People don’t understand, we train like boxers.”
KSI is likely just saying this in order to continue this YouTube/celebrity boxing trend, which is making all involved a whole lot of money, with the fights actually providing very little entertainment.
Mayweather’s exhibition bout with Paul was a snoozefest – no boxing fan would want to see a repeat of it – but there’s millions of fans on social media you’d happily pay the PPV.
You can’t blame KSI for trying to rile up the boxing legends…
