Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich U-turns on COVID-19 vaccination decision

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has conceded that he will be having the COVID-19 vaccine after he recovers from the virus.

Kimmich has been the focus of criticism after being vocal with his decision NOT to get the COVID-19 vaccine. It is, of course, his choice and any prejudicing against him following that decision is wrong.

Unfortunately, Kimmich later contracted the virus – and a bad bout of it, too. The German international has been sidelined with a lung problem and has subsequently changed his tune on the jab.

As is reported by the BBC, Kimmich has decided that he WILL be getting the vaccine as soon as he is fit and healthy again: “It was difficult for me to deal with my fears and concerns, that’s why I was undecided for so long.”

Kimmich is not the only footballer to have decided against getting the vaccine. We do hope he’s the only one whose decision is ultimately made following ill health.

No matter what side of the fence you reside on, nobody wants to see footballers ruled out of matches through illness. We wish Kimmich a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in action as soon as possible.
