Kilruane MacDonaghs praised for the lovely gesture towards Dillon Quirke

This is pure class and what the GAA is all about, one big family. Sadly young Tipperary hurler Dillon Quirke passed away last August and had the whole GAA community in shock, he was a massive talent and one that won’t be forgotten in the midlands county. Kilruane MacDonaghs defeated Kiladangan in the Tipperary senior county hurling replay at Semple stadium Thurles.

Following the full-time whistle the Kilruane MacDonaghs, players raised a red helmet where he died at Sample Stadium. Incredible class from the players, see the picture below;

Incredibly sad what happened to the young hurler but I’m sure things like this make it some bit better for the his close family and friends.
