Kevin De Bruyne – take a bow, son! The Manchester City talisman has signed and sealed their win over Brighton with a stunner.
City were two goals clear of Brighton at the half-time break after a first-half brace from the inevitable Erling Haaland.
There was a sense of inevitability that City were going to run away with the contest, but not all was as it seemed at the Etihad.
Brighton struck back through Leandro Trossard, a bolt from the blue, which Ederson should’ve done better with at his near post.
The visitors continued to knock on the door, threatening to get themselves back into the contest and nick a point off of the champions.
Sadly from the Seagulls’ perspective, it wasn’t to be, with Kevin De Bruyne, who finished third in the Ballon D’Or rankings, netting a stunning goal.
