The All Star nominations came out today and some people aren’t happy as Kerry have less nominations than Donegal!
It is the first time since 1996 that the winner of the All-Ireland SFC has not received the most nominees.

Are Kerry the first All-Ireland football champions ever to get fewer All-Star nominations than the team they beat in the final?
It certainly hasn't happened in the past 28 years (as far back as I can find online).

Graham O’Sullivan should 1000% have been nominated
Nine is the joint lowest total for an All-Ireland-winning team in the past 28 years. Armagh (2002) and Kerry (2006) both also got nine. During that period, the average number of nominations for the team that won the All-Ireland is 11.75.
