European Super League founder confirms the project is now officially dead

Juventus chief and European Super League founder Andrea Agnelli, who was previously holding his ground over the proposals, has confirmed that the project is now over.

Even after the Big Six in the Premier League had declared themselves withdrawn from the European Super League, and their counterparts across the continent followed suit, Agnelli stood firm on the idea of pressing ahead with the plans.

The delusion shown by the Juve chief was beyond comprehension, with the European Super League concept nothing more than a cash-grabbing proposal which had failed at launch.

He has now finally admitted defeat, as he is quoted doing so by Sky Sports.

“I remain convinced of the beauty of that project.”

“But admittedly, I don’t think that the project is now still up and running.”

Leeches such as Agnelli, Florentino Perez, the Glazers and more can never be forgiven for what they have attempted to do to football. The slyness on display, lack of trust, respect and the sheer hunger for money and power are all absolutely vile.

The European Super League is over, but while these figures remain in positions of influence, football still has a problem.
