Jurgen Klopp had an unnecessary pop at Arsene Wenger after his side drew with Chelsea at Anfield.Ā

Liverpool and Chelsea remain mid-table after they were both unable to find the back of the net on Saturday afternoon. What once was considered a ā€˜title-definingā€™ game has now been reduced to a bland affair lacking any real quality or intent.

Both teams have fallen hard this season and will struggle to catch up to the top four places before the seasonā€™s end.

The game was a landmark fixture for Klopp, his 1,000th game and although he didnā€™t lose he also didnā€™t win it.

Clearly frustrated with his sideā€™s performance, the Liverpool manager decided to have a go at Arsene Wenger in a bid to take the edge off the result.

ā€œFirst and foremost, before the game I got a lot of messages [about my 1,000th game] and not all of them were nice. I think Arsene Wenger lost his 1,000th game 6-0, so I am really happy that didnā€™t happen.ā€ he told the media afterwards.

Many felt like this was uncalled for and completely unnecessary.
