The Liverpool boss has commented on the injury that the Egyptian winger suffered during his AFCON clash on Thursday evening.

Mohamed Salah was forced off just before half-time with an apparent hamstring injury as Egypt went on to draw with Ghana 2-2.

With a second-ever Premier League title in their sights, Klopp will be hoping that his star man is severely injured as he revealed that he doesn’t know the full extent of the issue.

“We don’t know anything.” He said via Sky Sports.

“In that moment, it was a shock. I couldn’t see that it was high-intensity and then going down, he just felt it. We all know how rarely Mo needs to go off so it was definitely something.”
