Josh Dasilva got this awfully wrong, this is an awful tackle, did he mean to do it or was it just clumsy? Brentford are currently fourth in the championship table and were right in this game up until Son made two. Brentford are very unlucky with an offside goal being ruled out by inches just before that thanks to VAR, maybe Dasilva was just frustrated thinking they deserved better.

This is a good result for the North London club Spurs in what was a tricky fixture especially after the festive period with all the games Tottenham had to go through. But Spurs will think they can go on and win it now, with the winner of the Manchester clubs to come. 2008 was the last time Spurs lifted the league cup and that’s the last time spurs had any proper bit of silverware coming close in the league and even Champions League, surely this is there moment?
