Manchester United have taken the lead over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge through Jadon Sancho.
Sancho scored his first goal for the Red Devils against Villarreal in the Champions League midweek. You got the impression that would do wonders for his confidence, and that has certainly been the case.
The England international was aggressively pressing Chelsea midfielder Jorginho as he attempted to pluck the ball out of the air. After the Italian miscontrolled, Sancho pounced and found himself 1-on-1 with Edouard Mendy.
With Marcus Rashford square and Mendy unsure if Sancho was going to pass or shoot, it allowed the winger a yard of space in the bottom corner to slot the ball and give Man United an unlikely lead.
🗣 “Jadon Sancho scores on the ultimate counter-attack!”
It has come out of nowhere, but #MUFC have capitalised on a woeful Jorginho error to lead #CFC 1-0.

Of course, the headline will be the horror mistake from Jorginho, and it was a bad one, but Sancho deserves a great amount of credit for gambling and got his reward in the shape of his first Premier League goal.
