Jordan Henderson may miss rest of season and The Euros due to injury

Liverpool and England midfielder Jordan Henderson’s season may be over as the Anfield skipper awaits news to hear if he needs surgery on his groin report the Sun.

Henderson has to be carted off injured during Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat to Everton in the Merseyside derby last weekend.

The 30-year-old is the latest in a long list of injuries at Liverpool and should he need surgery his Premier League season will be over and he will be a big doubt for the European Championships this summer.

Liverpool are genuinely concerned that the results of scans he got this week will show Henderson requires surgery that will keep him out for up to 12 weeks.

Henderson had been playing as a makeshift centre-back in Jurgen Klopp’s side due to Dutch powerhouse Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomes both being out with long term injuries.

It’s not likely that either of the pair will return to full fitness by the end of the season which leaves Jurgen Klopp with his inexperienced new boys Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies as his centre-back options.
