Good Morning Britain reporter, Jonathan Swain, slated for half-and-half England and Wales shirt.
Ahead of a crunch clash between the two nations that will decide their World Cup fate, Swain appeared on the live national television show donning the controversial shirt.
The incident has led to Swain facing backlash from both sets of supporters, with fans insisting that the shirt does not capture the essence of the rivalry between the countries, and the tribalism of football as a whole.

During the broadcast, Swain stated: “Look, split personalities this morning. Not my idea I have to say, but I think I am sort of half-qualified to wear this, I do actually have a mother who is from mid-Wales so it’s probably appropriate for me to wear this, this morning.”
Even with the fierce rivalry put to one side, this match is huge because of the implications it will have on who advances into the next round of the Qatar World Cup. The Three Lions currently sit top of group B on four points, with Wales in fourth on just one.
Wales will need to either beat England by four goals or win and hope for a draw in the match between Iran and USA. Whilst, despite their lethargic draw against the USA on matchday two, England simply need to avoid defeat by a four-goal margin in order to advance.
